| something like that guy has got or even some of the more common builds/projects here, requires a shitload of background knowledge, a substantial minimum level of experience, a small fortune in tools/gear, that really anybody with any semblance of a busy life could easily not have time for. I think we lose perspective here, especially those of you who had prior experience with other platforms, or grew up doing this sort of stuff. IMHO the only people who crab about others paying a shop to do all the work are those who do so partly out of jealousy and partly because the car is an extension of their ego and they dont like to see it out-done by someone else who didnt have to do what they did to get beyond the point they are at. It is pure ego that compels them to put the other guy down. Shouldn't we want shops capable of doing solid projects like that? Shouldnt we want more rather than less? Wont these shops then support and provide a demand for guys with real competence who pay attention to detail and do things the correct way the first time? Isn't that a good thing to be promoting? So why put someone down for doing just that?
